“old friends” is an underrated relationship dynamic because it’s such an innocent boring sounding term for what is usually some of the wildest shit imaginable. it’s always like ‘oh yeah we go way back, we have history’ and then you find out that history includes sex, drugs, murder, divorce, war crimes and The Incident
it truly means so much to me that laudna and imogen are just. total weirdo losers with each other. in the most INSANE ways. imogen wearing a vial of laudna’s blood mixed with her own on a chain around her neck, imogen sleeping next to laudna’s corpse for like a week after she died, laudna making dirty jokes through her dead rat puppet knowing it’ll make imogen laugh, imogen accidentally going bald via wild magic and laudna ripping out a chunk of her own hair to comfort her, etc etc. literally peak romance to me
